• Consider the weather: If your wedding is at noon on a hot, humid July day in Edmonton, you probably don’t want to wear your long hair down; if you’re not into updos, consider at least a half updo to keep cool and comfortable.
• Consider the neckline of your dress: You might want a lower, looser updo or a half updo to keep a strapless neckline from looking too bare.
• Consider the photographer: A few face-framing curls or tendrils can make an updo look softer and more romantic – but too many may obscure your face in photographs.
